 Police Chief Frank Perna

Hello,

I am very proud to be the eighth Chief of the Denville Township Police Department and welcome you to our website.

I would like to start by thanking the Town Council and expressing my eagerness in working with them.  I want to thank Mayor Andes, Business Administrator Steve Ward and Chief Christopher Wagner, ret., for affording me the challenge and opportunity to be Chief of Police of our great department.  I was sworn in a Denville Police Officer over twenty-five years ago, and I was told how lucky I was to be hired by Denville by many veteran officers across the county.  After twenty-five years of being here, I found that to be true.  I am thankful and grateful for the Denville officers who came before me, who work with me now, and those who will come after me.  The employees of this department have worked hard to make this organization what it is today, a proud, well educated, hardworking organization that strives to serve the residents of Denville.  The officers of this department work every day to ensure the citizens of Denville feel safe and protected.  They are enforcing the traffic and criminal laws of the State of New Jersey and the ordinances of the Township of Denville.  They take time to interact with the residents by visiting with the public, business owners, and the children of Denville every day.  Every officer here consistently adheres to the department's core values of integrity, honesty, fairness, respect and compassion.  I am very proud to be part of this department.  The group of officers and civilian employees make this police department one of the best in the state.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the residents, township employees, civic groups, and all those who visit our great township.  Thank you for your support and making our community great.
